Paul Sand has won a Tony Award and two Drama Desk Awards for his work on Broadway. He joined Second City in 1960 with a crew that included Alan Arkin and Mike Nichols. Paul has worked with Marcel Marceau, Judy Garland, Barbra Streisand, George Segal, Robert Redford, Mary Tyler Moore, Carol Burnett, and the Village People. His theater company in Santa Monica has launched two plays in the last three years.
An Evening with Paul Sand will be hosted by Stephen Stanley. Along with being a Professor at UCA, Kaleidoscope Board Member, and a filmmaker, Stephen is also a friend of Paul's.
The night will also feature great music by Drew Jansen and Jimmy Martin!

Paul Sand is a beloved actor, writer and director. Highlights of his storied career include his Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Play for Paul Sills' Story Theatre, two Drama Desk Awards for Outstanding Performances on Broadway, his eponymous TV show Paul Sand in Friends & Lovers on CBS, his memorable appearances on shows including Mary Tyler Moore, The Carol Burnett Show, and Curb Your Enthusiasm, and his legendary work with The Second City starting in its sophomore class of 1960.
Sand currently resides in Southern California where in 2015 he founded the Santa Monica Public Theatre. Their debut production of Kurt Weill at the Cuttlefish Hotel, which Sand directed, has made multiple runs at LA Theaters including Tim Robbin’s Actor’s Gang. Their second production, An Illegal Start, is currently running at the Santa Monica Pier, where it is staged on an actual historic carousel.
