ABOUT THE FILM

Inspired by a tv documentary made by the same director, Children’s Show tells the story of children ages 13-15 being exploited by a powerful syndicate managing a betting game involving underground fighting. 

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR

Roderick Cabrido was born and raised in Tondo, Manila one of the most densely populated areas of land in the world and one of the poorest and most underdeveloped communities in the Philippines. He is an award-winning film and documentary producer of such films at Cuchera (2011) and Nuwebe (2013). In 2014 he directed his debut feature film Children's Show, winner of four awards at the Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival, Best Story at the Gawad Tanglaw 2015 and Outstanding Achievement-Development Communication Category of the 9th Hildegarde Awards.
